Well, it looks like now is a great time to buy an SUV or pickup truck in Tennessee!

…IF you want to get a great deal, that is.

For what it’s worth, there are more used SUVs and pickup trucks for sale these days because “a lot of them are being traded in for smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles,” according to the Nashville City Paper. According to the article: “The local market is apparently keeping with national trends, according to the latest numbers from Cars.com, whose Consumer Search Index tracks tens of thousands of searches on its site and is said to be an indicator of future purchasing behavior.

Eventually, assets of both companies were bought by Miller Industries, which also bought other wrecker manufacturers. Miller has retained the Century facility in Ooltewah where both Century and Holmes wreckers are presently manufactured. Miller also makes Challenger wreckers.

Water leaves lasting damage. Electrical and mechanical components will probably fail early. Mold and mildew aren’t easy to eradicate. Any remaining warranty is voided. Be on the lookout for these cars even if you don’t live in a flooded area, because dishonest people move them around.
